San Martino a Poggio: the Middle Ages

Archaeological Museum

Type:
Room: Reperti archeologici

Description

Within the site of San Martino a Poggio, very special finds have been unearthed, referable to the best known context, which is the Etruscan period, but the adjacent small church of San Martino has also returned very interesting objects. In the excavation of the cemetery, objects related to worship, such as the glass paste vagos, medallions and crucifix displayed in display case 15, have come to light. The objects displayed instead in this display case, thus the buckle, the carpentry nail, the two forks, the crossbow darts and the knife, help to define a cross-section of the most important moments in the lives of the families who lived in this area.
