Description

French bicycle , dating from the late 1800s . It was born in France in the firm of the Michaux brothers , a company that produced carriages . We are faced with the third evolutionary step , the present model in fact has the iron frame , steering , brake and cranks of the carriage windows adapted to pedals . HISTORICAL NOTES . The first two-wheeled vehicle of which there is a record , dates back to the early 1800s with Count De Sivrac who invented the celerifero . It was a piece of wood with two wagon wheels mounted on pins , it was used as pure entertainment for nobles . After 30 years , thanks to Baron Karl Drais we have the second evolutionary step , with the introduction of first indirect and then direct steering . The vehicle was named after its inventor and is known as the Draisina .
