Room: Il Viottolone
Description
This gray stone statue, dressed as an ancient Roman woman, completely wrapped in a large cloak that acts as a "dark blanket," represents the "Woman of Mystery." To highlight this concept, we note that the woman's head is also covered and that her right arm is hidden by the width of the fabric curtains across her chest: her long, well-formed hand can barely leave this intersection, while her left hand holds the edge of the cloak that covers her hair.
