Description
The "Putto drawing an arrow from his quiver" was made by Fabrizio Farina between 1620 and 1621, (Capecchi 2008, p. 70; ASF, Scrittoio delle Regie Possessioni, f. 2518). This putto originally decorated the rim of the large basin of the Isola, where it is documented until 1638; only in 1642 does it first appear as a decoration of the Artichoke Fountain (Capecchi 2008, p. 70)
