Description
The canvas depicts St. James the Greater and St. Philip Neri in Adoration of the Cross. This painting has been attributed to the Florentine Onorio Marinari, a painter who lived between 1627 and 1715 and trained at the school of Carlo Dolci. This work is believed to have been executed around 1665 and was made for the altar of the Holy Cross.
