Description

This display case shows the jerseys worn by Florentine pistard Enzo Sacchi, who was born in Florence, Jan. 6, 1926, and died in Florence, July 12, 1988. He was an Italian pistard and road cyclist, professional from 1952 to 1963, whose memory the Cascine velodrome in Florence was named after. Starting from the left , in the first display case we find the Italian National Team jersey from 1950 and the Italian Champion jersey from the same year. In the display case to the side, on the other hand, we find the jersey of World Amateur Speed Track Champion , won in 1952 in Paris, and that of Olympic Champion , won the same year in Helsinky . In his career Enzo Sacchi also won World gold in Milan in '51, silver in '53 and '58 and bronze in '54.
