Room: Maglie

Description

The jersey that belonged to Gino Bartali is a gift from Bruno Giannelli , wingman and friend of Gino Bartali . The jersey is related to the Milano Sanremo of 1952 , Gino leaving in the morning from Milan , wore more wool jerseys , arriving towards the Turchino he took off the top jersey and passed it to Giannelli who put it under his and jealously preserved it until it was donated to our Museum . Bruno on the occasion of the donation also recounted what happened at the Milan - San Remo in 1950 , when as the only domestique left with Gino's group , he was doubly happy with the victory of his Captain , who after the finish gave Bruno the entire prize money of the race , that is 150,000 lire , when the salary of a worker was only 1000 lire a month .
