Author: Ferrucci Romolo Detto Romolo Del Tadda
Type: statua
Room: Porta romana
Description
Inghirami in 1828 describes this grotesque figure with the other two in the group as a "company of three mattacini or jugglers who were imitations of the ancient mimics or jumpers" . The three male figures possibly represented caramogis, characters who often entertained the courts with their performances. Inghirami recognizes them as works by Romolo Ferrucci del Tadda and Sandro Bellesi, confirming the attribution, dates them between 1617 and 1621
