San Godenzo

St. Gaudentius Abbey was built in 1028 around the burial place of its patron saint who lived in the 5th century AD. It was entrusted first to the Benedictines, then to the Servants of Mary, and finally to the diocesan clergy. The monastery was destroyed in World War II.
